Using the data sheet provided, check those items that are in regular use in you home.

Make adjustments if necessary. For example, if you use a clothes dryer in your home, but rarely, estimate a reduced monthly amount of energy used.

Similarly, if you have a large family, and use the clothes dryer more than 5 times per week, estimate the monthly energy usage by increasing the average value which is given in the chart by an appropriate amount.

Alternatively, you can keep track of the daily use of these appliances and calculate a monthly energy use for each. Simply multiply the total number of hours used per day by the number of days in the month.

Total the monthly energy use from these items.
