Blogs

What's a blog?

A shortening of the term Web log, the Blog is an online publishing tool that enables people to easily publish articles (known as "entries" or "posts"). Blogs are basically online journals where the writer, known as a "blogger", can publish his/her thoughts about a variety of topics such as world news, daily events, hobbies or personal happenings.

What's the Phoenix2006 blog?

All members of the Phoenix2006 project can post blog articles. This will allow us to create a "community" learning log of our thoughts and experiences as we follow the McMaster Science team to Hiroshima.

Use your blog to:

  • tell us about the related research and investigations that are taking place in your classroom;
  • tell us some of the things you are wondering about;
  • ask general questions or make comments that don't seem to belong in any of the discussion forums;
  • let us know how you are enjoying the project.
Do not use your blog as a "chat" tool. The group as a whole does not want to read personal messages to your friends or "chatty" messages that are not related to the project.

Acceptable Use

The Phoenix2006 blogs are public for both project participants and the general public.

The free exchange and publication of information can help people in important ways. At the same time, information and the way it is presented, can harm people intentionally or unintentionally. We expect that all team members will treat each other with respect and abide by their school's Computer Acceptable Use Policy.
