Hi to Laurie, Sunniva and Tore:
I have been following your daily progress report with interest and am wondering if you are experiencing the kind of conditions you had expected, ie. those similar to Antarctica. Sunniva's newsletter of January/99 indicated that you could expect: crevasses, gushing glacial streams and the Greenlandic katabatic winds, known as"Piteraaq's", which reach forces in excess of 100-125 knots! It sounds as though you have had your share of crevasses and likely the glacial streams. However, I am wondering if you may still expect the "Piteraaq's"? Hope not! I wish you all continued success until the completion of this ambitious trek.
