Diane's note: According to Laurie's map he is heading toward DYE II, (an abandonned DEW Line site). Our information indicates he is in fact heading for DYE III. See route map.
We did 19.5 kms. today and we're at an elevation of somewhere around 7300 ft. The day was quite bleak in terms of visibility. We had almost whiteouts occasionally, some slight views of the horizon intermixed with that. Most of the time it was overcast, with very poor visibility and snowing lightly all day. It did not have the same effect as on previous conditions. There was a thin dusting of snow from last night but it really didn't seem to affect the travel at all. We were able to pull easily and are within about 35 kms. now of DYE II. In the next couple of days we should be there and then directly heading to the coast after that.
