(Diane's note: Clear transmission today in spite of the weather disturbances)

We've been storm bound all day. When we got up, the wind was whistling around the tent. We did have to go out for basic necessities. The drifts were higher than we've seen them. On one side of the tent they're about a metre high and a couple of sleds are almost totally invisible. We just had no option but to go back into the tents.

It wasn't a bad day at all. It was great to get a day's rest to let our bodies recover and we spent the day making sure we ate plenty.

(Diane's note: see Paul's question to Laurie)

We're just getting ready for the next phase. Hopefully the wind will clear out some of the deep drifts that caused us so much trouble yesterday.

We're still pretty buoyant just waiting for the storm to die down. It's already decreased somewhat. Hopefully tomorrow we'll have another good day.

End of transmission
